Our Singer store here in Austin had the exact same machine treadle version in a cabinet just as show. That decal design is called "The Red Eye". I wouldn't mess with a motor either; treadles are so classic.

I almost got excited, until I realized this machine was in Maine. I actually have a spare motor.
