ekuw I had seen a line from French General called La Belle Fleur that I liked but it apparently an older line and not available anywhere I looked but I do like some of the lines on MSQC. Thank you for your help. |

I believe the 'french country' colors use a bit softer blue than a royal and there is often a lot of a buttery yellow. There are other colors but these are the main 2. Google french country decor and look around.

If you want GENUINE French look, you need to get French fabric.
"French Connections" in Pittsboro NC has fabrics, antiques, pottery and baskets from France, Mexico, and all over Africa. Their stuff is GORGEOUS!!! A couple of things to note... 1) their "standard" fabric width is about 66", instead of the 44" we have here in the US. 2) the "hand" of these fabrics is heavy - and I mean that it feels a little "thicker" than what we're accustomed to here ... so when figuring yardage, you will need to keep those things in mind. Here's their website "home": http://www.french-nc.com/ and here's the link to the fabrics area: http://www.french-nc.com/shop/Fabrics/ I have encountered them at many shows in the Carolinas, and their stuff is just breath-taking. And now that I've re-acquainted myself with their site, I'm going to spend some money... like I need more fabric, right?!? |
You can try rusty dyeing fabrics, some palladian blue and maybe a light shade of chinese red
