I have found that the Crayola "Ultra Clean" washable markers come right out. The washable markers that they had before did not always come out for me. On dark fabrics I like to use slivers of soap or a ceramic marker for fine lines.

Ball point pen can always be removed by spritzing it with hairspray before washing it. Gel pen ink is another animal.

I LOVE these pens and use them all the time. Have never had any problems.

Seems that some have had problems, so why even go there. The company even says not made for fabric. There are too many solutions to go poke a problem.
I love those pens! Just wash your quilt and you'll be happy!
Wait a second, are you saying that the cat picture above was made with a permanent black marker that is covering up mistakes?????? If so, then an entire new world has opened up for me. That cat picture is beautiful! Every time I try to use permanent markers on fabric they run - the Sharpee markers.
I use them a lot and have never had any problems.
I use them a lot & never had a problem....yet anyways. I love them
Won't give 'em up
I love the thin line you get with these pens! The only problem I ever had was with either the red or the orange, which did not iron out immediately. They probably would disappear with washing -- can't remember what project it was...

the one I used left a faint white line???/ don't think it will ever come out
