I have been doing that for YEARS and never knew it even had a term.

I'm really good at that too I even have my seam ripper velcoed to the front of my machine so I always have it handy and don't misplace it. It is also good to push the fabrics through the machine when needed. my frogg always stays busy here. Rippty Rip Rip Rip
