Well I think it's beautiful and only a really experienced quilter would even notice what blares out at you. I can spot my mistakes from across the room in quilts I do but people rave about them. Don't be so hard on yourself and go for it. It's a wonderful gesture and a beautiful quilt.

It ain't that bad! Just quilt it & send it on. I didn't really notice till you pointed it out. They shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Besides the person getting most likely won't be a quilter & won't even notice. :thumbup: :lol:

I like the tie idea as well if you don't have enough scrap to do the wheels, but I would suggest a thick black yarn for the ties - it would cover more. I like the fabrics and your heart was certainly in the right place. Anyone who takes home the quilt will know that even if it isn't "perfect."

I'd use it. If you're concerned about the points, see if you can find some motorcycle buttons and sew them on where the points don't quite match.

You are being too critical!!! A small strip of ribbon over the seams would make it all mesh really well; i also like the idea of wheels and heat-n-bond. We are all our own worst critics; lighten up!

You're still trying to suggest a "fix" though. It doesn't need fixed. Just quilt it, wash it and call it good. The wrinklyness will hide a whole lot of cut off points or mismatched points or whatever.

Besides, done on time to donate and help raise money is waaaaaaaaaay better than obsessing over a couple of cut off or mismatched points.

dear just like the others said it will make more money than an auction.raffles you have a lot better chance of getting more money out of it.I done a full size quilt an a baby quilt an the baby quilt got more money than the full size quilt,they got forty dollars out of the full an i know they got more for the baby quilt but don't know just how much.I was crushed when i found out they didn't give any more than that for it.It was a silent auction .

How about double embroidery thread (12 threads) or black yarn,

and make a good size "X" over the points that don't match. That

should make a design statement (!) and nobody will know that it wasn't

in the original plan. I think you are wonderful for making this quilt.

My friends and I made a quilt for a raffle that was so bad and so wonky

that I had to hand sew seam binding over every seam. It took over 8

hours, and was the most frustrating thing I've ever done.

We are all our own worst critics. I like it and agree most people wouldn't even notice the minor imperfections.
I also agree with the suggestion of tieing at the points if you really feel unhappy about the cut off points. Matching color embroidery floss would certainly diguise the area without bring attention to it.
