Yes, I too have a lifetime supply of crushed walnut shells. I keep mine in a big ziploc bag inside of a plastic container with locking handles. I want it to be nice and secure, because once I tried to fill one of my pincushions while sitting on my bed. Please DO NOT TRY THIS MANEUVER AT HOME. And please don't ask me how I know it's not a good idea.
If you see me out somewhere and there are crushed walnut shells stuck to my butt, feel free to let me know. |
maybe you could donate to rest of the walnuts to a school teacher to teach how in the past they made ink from then and wrote with a quill

How about this one? I went to Atlanta Bread for a soup lunch a couple of days ago. The spoon I was given had a large dried green blob on the tip of the bowl. Took it back to the man behind the counter and said my spoon was dirty. He looked at me and said "Do you want a clean one?"

When she asked what I wanted it for, I said for pincushions. Pincushions???? Obviously, she hadn't a clue what I was talking about. So I explained, you put needles and pins in them. Oh, do you knit?? No, said I. I'm a quilter. Immediate response: Oh, my mom does that - she crocheted a huge blanket and she lets the dog sleep on it.
I smiled, paid, and walked away with my 10 quarts of crushed walnut shells. :) That was funny :) Maybe you can sell them in ziplock bags to other quilters? |
That reminds me of an old advertisement where a lady was supposed to be quilting toilet tissue, but she had knitting needles in her hand!
