Our Olive reminds me of a Greyhound sometimes with her elegance, grace and agility.

That is so true Butterflyblue. I found that out the hard way. I though tI had practiced enough because my pillowcase sandwiches were coming out not to shabby. So then i tried to quilt a One Block Wonder. I quickly discovered what a difference the weight of a large project makes. I felt like i was wrestling with the quilt the whole time. Since then I purchased Machingers quilting gloves and they help immensely!
A dog bed and sleeping pad are good ideas because they are bigger.

These are really great ideas and a smart use of fabric and thread! I knew there had to be quilters on the board who were doing neat things with their practice pieces!
