I've been trying to come up with ideas on my own so I don't have to throw out my Free Motion Quilting practice pieces, but be able to use them instead. I'm hoping you all will post ideas for small projects to practice FMQ on that don't have to turn out perfect. |
I have made my practice pieces in the size of placemats. When i am done playing with the FMQ I bind them with all the left over binding. I use them all the time on the table. It seems like a waste to just put the practice pieces in the trash & go out to buy placemats. I do not use them for company but they are good for DH & I.

Pot holders & placemats would be good too. If you don't like the placemats, you could give them to Meals on Wheels. Someone would love it.
