I'm thinking the scrubbing brush was recommended for spots on carpet. For use on a quilt or garment I would try an old toothbrush. They are great for many uses.

For small areas of your own blood, use your own salavia. It will only work on your own blood but you learn this fast when doing applique and hand work.

I have done this- can't seem to pin baste without poking myself and bleeding on my quilts. Sounds gross to spit on stuff, but it does work and I wash my quilts before gifting them. This is also the reason that I sew down my binding by machine! LOL

Question- do you think this would work on a really old, dirty, fragile cloth stuffed toy? The chopped foam that was the stuffing was all hard, so I took that out. I would like to clean it a little and restuff with polyester stuffing. It was my DH's favorite toy when he was really little. I'm afraid the fabric will disintegrate if I try to wash it, but it needs something done with it.
