The only reason we have any quilts on our beds is because my husband won't let them out the door. I just don't show him the ones I give away ;-)

I am jumping on this "guilty" band wagon.

I think that is why I have started joining the swaps from this board. Someone likes my stuff and I love what I get from them.

I think most crafters/sewers/quilters suffer from this affliction. I am always making things to share with family & friends. I get so much enjoyment sharing. Last year I finally made myself a large quilted Christmas tree skirt, showed it to my BF & he talked me into showing it to his mom. She had always wanted a large quilted tree skirt and fell in love with mine. So of course I had to share it with her. I went home and made myself a much smaller one tree skirt, so I could have it done in time for Christmas. Finished it and my sister came by and wanted it. So guess what??? I used an old sheet under my tree. This year I am hiding my tree skirt until all done and then gonna put Hands Off sign on it hahahahaha

You can't buy that!

Show us a picture or two and I'll bet someone will like the heck out of them!

What did you say your address is?????   I'm afraid I give it all away, too. I do have a few things, but most are gifted away. Luckily I know they are all loved and appreciated.

yup i go through that too...but i have become better, at least at work, when i show anything and someone oooh's and aaahhhhhhhhs, i tell them it's for sale if you are interested, so instead of coming home with an empty bag i at least come home with a few $$ to show for my time. if it's family or real friends they usually get it when they say they want it, sometimes right then, sometimes as a surprise later, sometimes i say, this one is for sale...sometimes they still want it...sometimes not (and most of them know if they say they love it, and i do not give it to them...some time down the road they are going to wind up with it anyway or a different one like it....i think most quilters are generous to a fault and at least for me...a real push-over ;) but, as long as you are not (breaking the bank) it's ok isn't it?

Me too. This is what I call finding a good home for my quilts etc. At first I liked to have a photo of my work. Now it does not matter. I still have lots of fabric and that is all that matters.

I have a similar problem that I considered creating a post about the other day. I don't give everything away - it's just that most of my personal projects end up being UFO's and the ones that start out as gifts all get completed and given to the intended lucky recipient. Anybody else have this issue?

I don't think I own anything I made except the poorly done first crocheted afghan (it's warm at least).
