I just got the Machingers gloves from a LQS and they do work well. They are thin enough you don't have to take them off to thread a needle or do other things. I don't know anything about the other brands.

I went to Graingers and bought a pair of glove with blue dots that stick quite nice to fabric and string for $1.

A friend in Washington sent me a pair of FMQ disks you hold down on the fabric which grip. She said they are sold in two quilt stores in her area. Just got them Friday; can't wait to give them a whirl. I hear they are marvelous for those that don't want to wear gloves.

They are called Stitch and Grip Quilting Disks and the website is under construction.

It sounds like you bought the F&P Klutz glove for rotary cutting protection ... machine quilting gloves always come in pairs.

I don't even remember. I think it was paper pieced.

If not work gloves try knit gloves with the 'gripper dots'. That's what I use, and they work fine.

Here are my choices..Grabaroos(they are purple), quilter's Nitrile touch(various colors, look like water proof gardening gloves), Ergonomic Sewgrip gloves(look like surgical gloves), and machine quilting Grip gloves..(look knitted with dots on them)

I just use a pair of cheap garden gloves with the rubber dot on them. I bought a pack of 6 gloves. they work just as good as the expensive ones and are not as tight on my hands and I have small hands.

I too use cheap gardening gloves and I did cut off the tips of the index finger and thumb. Makes all the difference when you don't have to remove your gloves to pick up pins, etc.
