medium gray. green sounds interesting

I stumbled by it purely by accident & now that's all I use for that. It's a regular ol Coates & Clark, too... cheap & easily-to-find.

Grays, browns, tans and khakis are what I favor. For light colored quilts I usually use white or some very light thread if I have it.

I like a really pale pink for light colored quilts.

I use lilac, ecru or grey. they all blend well but I will try the green to see how that works.

That's what i do, too!!!! I do try to pick up thread when I see it on sale because it (like everything else has gotten expensive!!!)

Sure, I like natural or a little darker and I also use a Khaki color and the olive green also works well when piecing.

I use grey or blue grey or beige. A lot of times I just use what's in my bobbins also. Sometimes I just use any threads because I have quite a few of them and don't want to spend the money on more thread when I have so many laying around.

For scrappy piecing - when I have dark fabrics - I try to use up all the small amounts of thread that are on the bobbins and spools. Have to change the bobbin fairly often, but then I get empty bobbins for my 'real' projects.

My 'go-to' color is that smokey grayish green - when I can find it - or a medium sagey green. It is amazing how that color just sort of disappears on most fabrics.

If its a scrap quilt .. its odds and ends of what ever bobbin I have. For top thread its light gray or ecru.
