I was given a moisturizer called Vanicream by my dermatologist. It is a wonderful product. Available via prescription but also sold over the counter. Comes in a good size jar/tub with a pump. It is absorbed quickly into the skin and does not leave a greasy film. No color, odor, parabens. I have used every product mentioned and this is the best I've ever used.

or Silicone glove by Avon. Neither leave greasy residue and absorb well.

i am not a lotion person myself but I do like to use pure sha butter on my hands and feet at night before going to bed. It helps to keep them soft and moist. I buy it on line just Google it.

I use Eucerin Calming Cream and Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy Original Moisturizing Creme. The first one is light and absorbs well and doesn't leave a greasy residue. The Moisturizing Creme is greasy and leaves a greasy residue, but because I work with fabrics all day, I feel I need a really good coating on my hands. I use a tissue to wipe my hands before touching fabrics. I also use it at night before bed to help protect my hands. Using it regularly keeps my hands and fingers smooth and soft. Helps prevent cracks and hang nails.

I found a jar of Cocoa Butter Cream on the bottom shelf at WalMart. I put it on after doing the dishes and I don't need to put it on again unless my hands are in water. Yes, even when I am quilting; put it on about 30 minutes before so it has time to soak in. LOVE IT! (no scent)

It was suggested to me that creams have less liquid in them than the lotions, so there is more value in using them. Just learn to keep white gloves in your night stand, cover your hands with cream and wear the gloves while sleeping, it is a nuisance, but the results are great. piecefully, the old one

Good ole fashion cocoa butter works great on dry hands and body. It is a little messy when you first put it on, but disolves quickly. I have never had it stain my material or wools.

If you can get them in your neck of the woods: Aqueous cream, Derma Drate, Dermaveen and Cetaphyl are all good products.

I work where I use hand gel allll the time, I have tried almost everything but found Eucerin to work well,no greasy after feeling until you wash your hands again but then it is under the water. I also got some steroid cream from the dr. that helps my cracking...I have also noticed the quilters glove in quilt stores?
