I don't know about numbers, but I do know that the original machine will run with the presser foot up and make a big mess. The newer machine will not run like this.

I'm assuming its the older model, its the older inspira frame and they were purchased around the same time I'd imagine.

Is this bad? Should the price be lower?

I don't know for sure, but I googled to see what I could find. If this price includes the Quilter's Cruise Control, it is a great price(I saw one for $1800). If it doesn't, it looks like it is probably a good price.
