Hi Loretta, just a quick question, I have noticed various references to Sacks that they used for quilting and you have just said they are now being reproduced, I thought when I first heard that it would be really stiff hard material to work with, suppose they had no choice then, but is it how I imagine or have they softened the fabric???

Got my October issue of American Patchwork & Quilting today and there's a scrappy quilt in it that might suit you...actually there are several in this issue that would work well, but this is the one I was thinking of. It's called Scrap Happy. The magazine hits the stores on Aug 5th if you don't subscribe. Can also see them online at http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/magazi...ontents_1.html

Made the "Retro Crossroads" quilt. Didn't use reproduction fabrics, just scrappy and used black as the background. Easy and enjoyed working on it. Would be wonderful in reproduction 30's fabrics.

I saw that issue in the Navy Exchange today. That quilt is really pretty. WAS going to buy the magazine, but the pages were all wrinkled and it seemed to be missing pages, I'm thinking some design pages were taken out of it. I'd order the magazine and have it sent to me, but it seems I can't even get the Fons & Porter one that my friend got me on time. It's always a month late.

Can't wait to see what you do with those fats!
