Would double stick tape work, if first placed on the inside of the cup or gravy boat? I have not yet made a pinscushion using any type of dish or cup.

I made this pin cushion for my DD for her birthday. I was lucky to find a scrap fabric in my stash that coordinated with the design. When I gave it to my DD she recognized the fabric. She had made a sundress for my grand daughter out of it. The pin cushion now has two memories attached to it.
