Gosh, I am going to start looking in thrift stores!
What great buys. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.

Good for you...lucky finds and as someone else also said, the right place at the right time. I don't usually have too gooda luck when I "thrift store it" but last week I did find the "deal" of the day...it was an oak quilt rack that holds about 4 quilts on the cross bars and there is a little shelf at the bottom where another 3 or 4 quilts can be folded and displayed...I LOVE it and it was Senior Discount day so I got the rack for $3.50! That same day I did find about 6 yards of cotton quilting fabric in different colors for $ 5.00 so I guess I can't say I've never found some good deals. I guess I think because I found good buys one day I should be able to find good deals every day! My DH always tells me "your wants and gets" are all the same, aren't they?" He's a wonderful baby and mamma loves him! :-P

Feathers you did get a great deal on the quilting rack, that is also on my list of things to look out for. I had to chuckle when you wrote "I guess I think because I found good buys one day I should be able to find good deals every day" thats how I think also and need to stop and remind myself of all the great deals I have found at other times.
Be Grateful...lol.

You got a good deal. I wish that I could find a good second hand store in my area. Everyone that I have tried is nothing that I would want to bring home. Keep finding those good deals.

What kind of blankets do you use as batting?? That sounds like a good re-cycle/re-use idea.

You are making me ache to go to a thrift store! My favorite closed several months ago and no others close enough to get me excited to go....I hate to make long trips with no successful finds once there.

You did great!
