Treasureit 08-24-2011 07:44 AM

My daughter got this vac for her little clean ups and RAVED about it...so I got it for my sewing room and I am now RAVING about it!

It is electric, so there is a cord, but it is long enough for me and probably the reason it works well. It is a stick vacuum so light and easy to handle...has a removable foot...can be a hand vac like a dust buster and I forget what the 3rd is.

I don't have carpet, so can't share about that. Good news is I got it at Walmart for under $15.

It does have a little catcher like all dustbuster types, but it picks up pretty big scraps...just clean it out after each use and keep it handy.

Thanks, it sounds like just what I need will go look at it. I am so tired of pulling my big one around for my sewing room.

New Quilter 08-24-2011 07:56 AM

I have one...originally I bought it for the crumbs that both my DH and my Devil Doggie dropped all over the kitchen floor...it has indoor/outdoor carpeting and works great...now I need one for my sewing room...lol...it's off to Walmart I go...Naomi

Wow, very cool colors - I'm always up for anything lime green!

And orange is out-of-stock.

There was only gray at my Walmart...if you want a color you should order online.

leatheflea 08-24-2011 08:11 AM

I want a robotic vac for my sewing room, but they are a little more pricey.

BellaBoo 08-24-2011 08:18 AM

I have this vacuum in my foyer closet and in each bedroom closet. It so easy to pull out and vacuum without a hassle. I always kept a small vacuum in my kids closet and they didn't mind vacuuming their rooms when they didn't have to drag out the big one.

Painiacs 08-24-2011 09:29 AM

Cool going to have to check it out!

chairjogger 08-24-2011 09:30 AM

wow ! looks great for dorm room too ! does it pick up thread from carpet or is your floor in sewing room wood?

QuiltnNan 08-24-2011 09:35 AM

that looks good. i have laminate, but have some rugs on top. thus, the Swiffer doesn't work for all. i may check it out the next time i'm there.

chairjogger 08-24-2011 09:37 AM

oh.. should have read farther.. love this though.. but have carpet everywhere.. yep still one of those few that does.

Moedeenie 08-24-2011 09:41 AM

Thanks! Just what I have been looking for!

cizzors 08-24-2011 09:58 AM

I bought this one for my tile and wood floors. $8.00 on Black Friday-works great!

irishrose 08-24-2011 11:29 AM

I just used my Black Friday $8 red one this morning before I had company. Yes, it works on carpet - a thick Berber.

Treasureit 08-24-2011 02:47 PM

What a deal $8. is! I paid a lot for on a rechargeable hand vac a couple years a go...it lasted (sort of) for about a year. I will not do that again.

IrishNY 08-24-2011 05:36 PM

Thanks for the tip!

BellaBoo 08-24-2011 08:28 PM

I ordered another one online and shipping to my house was .97 ! It would cost me more then that to drive to Walmart. I love online shopping.

Lady Crafter 08-24-2011 09:16 PM

Hmm... never had a lightweight vacuum. Think I might have to treat myself. Thanks for the information.

bobbie1 08-25-2011 03:37 AM

I have one also. Works great on carpet and light weight.

SherrieDLux 08-25-2011 03:59 AM

I bought this a while ago and love, love, love it. It does a great job on all my wood floors, and area rugs as well.

k9dancer 08-25-2011 04:00 AM

That's pretty cool, but I don't want my DH to find out that I know how to run a vacuum...

IowaStitcher 08-25-2011 04:28 AM

I bought one for the motor home. Cute BUT try to find a new filter cup. Walmart sells the vacuum but not the replacement filters. Dumb! (Walmart- 'nuf said)

Val in IN 08-25-2011 05:11 AM

I have one in my sewing room, one in my bedroom, and one downstairs for my kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and bathroom. I only have carpet in two rooms, so my regular vac does those. Nothing better for hardwood and wood laminate than these wonderful little lightweight stick vacs... LOVE them!!!

OH YES, this little machine is definitely a #12 in my book. I got one a few weeks back and it's just the thing for my sewing room. I love it. Of course I HAD to get it in PINK... I like the fact you can take off the 'tank' and use it as a handheld vac. Great item to purchase..

Thank you for sharing this. I will go to my local Wallie World and get one. Looks like just what I need.

JanieH 08-25-2011 10:48 AM

Thanks for the information. Sounds like just what I need! And love the price!

I have one like this and LOVE IT!! It's a great sweeper for a great price.

I got my purple one a couple years ago, and I just LOVE it. I now use it more than I use the big one. Just a note, they have a filter in them that is attached to a plastic frame. I have gently washed my filter several times and allowed it to air dry for 24 hours before re-using. Do NOT use dish soap, you need a cleaner that rinses easily for this. I use warm water and Windex to clean mine. The key is be gentle, and not hot water! We have indoor pets, so my filter gets pretty icky.

Annaquilts 08-25-2011 12:15 PM

Thanks for the tip. $14 is not much money. I might just go for this.

Here is the link to get the bags cheap. Last package was still that price for my machine. Good Luck! :-)

Thanks for your review of this. I saw it at WalMart last night, and wondered if it worked.

I may go get one. I need something lightweight. My DH does the vacuuming as the one we have is so heavy.

Need one for small clean ups.
