Found another one on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=491gz5dKZKI&t=66s

It is made with the Lazy Angle Ruler: https://www.lazygirldesigns.com/prod...y-angle-ruler/

or you can draft your own templates.

Again, a quilt made up of these blocks could be quite interesting. I have a small image here, will post better one once I make up a demo block.

Here is the finished lazy angle block...requires trimming after sewing.

Ooops! Correction! The black and white angled block is actually made with Creative Grids' "Out of Line" Ruler, and there are instructions on how to make the block in the ruler liner notes.

Here is another block that, with clever use of colour (and you could also play with scale) would make a good block lotto choice and result in an interesting quilt. The blocks are made a bit oversize so they can be cut down in the curved seam construction.

By Maria Shell, this photo is the header photo for her Circle and Curve Sampler class.

Came up with another idea thanks to the blog "Sane, Crazy, Crumby Quilting" (https://saneandcrazy.blogspot.com/).

In this post:

How fun would it be to make a block lotto based on orphan blocks? We all have them!

You could:
-make it entirely random, whatever folks bring, they bring (what a great design challenge!)
-ask for a specific block size(s)
-ask that the blocks coordinate with a specific colour or colour range

Or set up a member exchange of orphan blocks. Super fun!

Maria Shell's "striped pinwheels" would also be a great Block Lotto block!

This is from Benartex's digital magazine "Modern by the Yard" issue #14, a block designed by Sarah Lauzon of @cera.bee

You make a two colour strip set of one colour on each side of a contrast strip where the inner contrast colour strip is a wedge. Cut the stips then reassemble such that they are out of order, which gives a jumbly movement effect.

From Benartex's Modern by the Yard issue #15, designed by Charisma Horton, a nice triangle in a square block that adds a bit of wow by adding a narrow border to the triangle.
