Here is another block that would work well as a block lotto pick, the Puzzle Patch Block Study by Vasudha Govindan:

This one is from a Pinterest post, referencing an American Patchwork and Quilting issue from Feb 2018...anybody got a copy??I'd like to see the original article!

The quilt artist here is, I think, Amy Walsh and the quilt is "Artfully Arranged". The block is made by making a strip set with two fabrics that are great together, then cutting off one end of the strip set and sewing it to the side of the strip set, see photo. Clever, easy, fun! And would work well as a repeat block that is saved from boredom by good fabric choices.

Here is a fun block pattern, with some variation but looks pretty simple to make, from Troll Brothers:

These would be fun and could be modified to use different shapes to give a less romancy look ie. rotated squares or triangles, circles instead of floral centres.

The migrating geese block could be a great block lotto pick as well. There is a purchasable worksheet here, you can choose to buy a hard copy for shipping or a digital download:

Here is another one...nothing new about log cabins, but the nifty thing here is that the centre is an unusual and distinctive print: in this case a black with white polka dots. That would really unify the blocks/make them stand out in a larger work. Credit for this one goes to the blogger Posie Gets Cozy, Alicia Paulson of Portland, Oregon.

Here is another block that would be a wonderful block lotto pick! From the Dianne Harris "StashBandit" website (her instagram is fun too), the photo features two "Log Jam" blocks one on top of the other. You could set all kinds of colour parameters for these blocks, tons o fun!

Another great block lotto idea from the StashBandit site. This one is the Asterisk design by Karen Griska:

Here is another, which is being used as our guild block lotto block this month:

Shown in quiet neutrals, this would suit a wide range of colour options!

Can I please have the block lotto explained? Never having heard of it, my best guess is that every month the guild designates a particular block then everybody makes that block and there is some sort of draw. Makes sense, but I'd love to hear more.
