we have a fantastic one in my town that is very clean and priced to turn over the merchandise quickly. I was on the committee to start it up. We researched other stores when deciding to open it and saw some great ones and some really dirty and poorly run ones. Best part is that the money goes back to building affordable homes as a hand up, not a hand out.

the lady that works there knows we are remodeling our home, she gives me discounts everytime. last time she gave me two windows, 2' x 6' for 10$ each, and a cabinet for free!

you DO have to check back often if you are looking for the GREAT deals tho ;)

have fun!!!

The two around here are fabulous. We donated windows from a remodel. Seems like every time we go they are having a half off sale. As long as what I bring home is less than what I drop off, I feel as tho I'm making progress.

We used to have one but the person running it apparently had no clue - looked like a bad thrift store instead of ReStore. Didn't last long - went out of business. Don't know if there's another one near. Enjoyed the one in VA when I lived there.

We try to make it over to the local restore at least once a week. Never know what you'll find . Paint, shelves, entertainment center, dishes, and just a few days ago I bought a featherweight.

somehow... maybe because I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity (although I'm sure it could be done online, or calling the Restore store), I got on their mailing list. Every week, I get a list (with pictures) of some of their "feature" items.

i miss the one in Durham, NC. They had so much stuff, and books, and even sewing machines. reasonable prices too. The one in Columbus, Ga is just getting going and doesn't have much yet. it will get there, i hope.
