It wouldn't be nearly as funny if the exact same hadn't happened to me. I made a quilt years ago and my son said the say thing about the design. It wasn't quite as clearly evident because it was a large quilt but he saw it none the less. I think the heart did a great job!!! Quick thinking!!!

The Swastika is also a symbol in Buddhism and hinduism.
http://www.religionfacts.com/buddhis...s/swastika.htm I think you saved it well! |
Let it to a kid to notice that! Still laughing.....

Not only 'selective seeing' -- kids (and husbands!) also have 'selective hearing'..... :o)

How funny... I didnt see it until I really looked

The spinning star pattern (got in a Amish qs) is another pattern that if you're not careful with color use, can end up looking like a double Swastika. I'm no kid but lived in Germany after the war.

how funny! My girls and I made a baby quilt about a month ago and used a 4 rail fence blocks, and when we were deciding our lay-out we noticed a Swastika too!! We rearranged it, thankfully we noticed before we sewed it all up because I would be just like you and see it all the time. I love the added heart! And I really love your bag idea and might make some for my family for Christmas!

Cool save....your son is sure observant, I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing

That is sooo funny. Now that it was mentioned I see it too but don't think I would have seen it if it wasn't mentioned.
