I always get good service from them too!
|
Every time we visit relatives in TN, we stop at Hancock's. Visual overload, not to mention fabric overload, is the only way I can explain it. There are so many fabrics, so many choices, so little time (for me to just ponder all the choices), and sadly so little money. This year I bought Christmas fabrics. Mostly cardinal related fabrics. DH is an enabler so when he began picking out fabric, it was time to leave as we needed $$ to finish the trip home too. Love visiting there but want to go sometime without kids or DH so I can spend all day and maybe buy nothing but leave with inspiration for the fabric stash.

The service from Hancocks is outstanding. I buy from them because they have flat shipping rate of $10 per $50 spend. Most other vendors charge $23.95 for a Flat Rate which holds 6-8 yards.
A few months ago I ordered black quilt back fabric (less than 1/2 the price I pay here, including shipping - even Customs if I have pay that too!). When I went to use it some time later, there was a small, but noticeable, flaw approx 18" in. I emailed them a photograph of it and they sent me another piece immediately and told me to keep the other piece. Another time they sent me the wrong colour of a fabric I had ordered and again, they told me to keep it and refunded the cost of the original item. I never hesitate to recommend them to all my quilting friends. |

I don't understand. I have a lot of that now a days. But if you knew you had an expired gift card, why did you expect them to make it good? That kind of thing sinks smaller shops like a hole in a ship. Perhaps they are large enough to absorb the costs but why should they? I just don't understand.

Here in CA, gift cards CANNOT expire. They are like cash - good forever. I think that's a good policy - what "cost" are they absorbing? They were given money for that card in the past; I don't see that they're losing anything.

So glad they honored it and yes I will never buy another gift card that expires either. I just ordered from Hancocks of Padudcah so it us comforting to read this. I love perusing tbe catalog too. Lovely batiks.
