It's a bit pricey but I use Clinique's Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream. It totally absorbs into your skin and makes your hands soft as silk. I have tried many of the others already listed but none seems to help my skin as much as the Clinique does. I have used it for years and years! I also use their Deep Comfort Body Butter for the rest of my body and it also is fabulous!

I use an organic body butter for my hands.
Don't use it during the day but put it on at night.
Great stuff! Works for elbows and knees as well.

I use Jergens-keep a bottle at my machine because it helps me grip the pieces without leaving a greasy mess.

it's thick enough to put in jars. I save the round jelly jars during the year. I buy food that come in jars by the prettiness of the jar.

LOL   I buy anything by the prettiness and/or shape of the jars... Thanks, it was a great comment. I am so glad to see I am not the only one that does this type of shopping.

I used to buy wine by how much I liked the label (until my husband settled on one he really likes - and it's so cheap).

Could someone post a picture of what they are calling "vitamin E cream" in the recipe?

Thanks!

I have trouble with my hands drying also, I am in water all through the day. I have 2 wire fox terriers and I have found, that any lotion, is not a fix..it takes a hand cream...there is a big difference.
I also have found that Gold Bond, is better than most, even prescription creams. I use the gold bond, foot cream at night, for my hands, before laying down. It is the best I have found, just think, it is is made for cracked dry feet, what could be better for the hands? Walmart has it cheapest roo..it comes in a small blue tube, near the pharmacy dept.

Here is exactly what I use for one batch of lotion. I purchased all ingredients at Dollar General.
