So does this look ok? Or too wordy?

Quilt: Simple Scraps

I would say " A quilt created using scraps from previous projects."

How about constructed by?

ritaquilts 08-26-2011 06:01 AM

I think hand crafted would be the proper term.

I agree with "machine pieced and quilted by" also.

I also get hung up on the terms "machine made" vs "hand made"

This road has been traveled before - the fabric was probably woven on machines -

Is a tool a sort of a machine? Scissors and needles -

"one of a kind quilt made by _________, date, and place"

I do like all the detail about the threads and the batting, etc. The labels that come on ready-to-wear are printed in tiny print on a tiny piece of material.

I like the word created. Are any scrap quilts designed by anyone. To me they just evolve as you are making them. I thing simply pointing out that the fabric is all cotton and leaving it at that, if any of that information is even necessary. Maybe washing instructions and leave it at that. I think too much information is just that and wouldn't make any difference to the bidder. Let's see the quilt, pretty please.
