I looked at the video several times and tried very hard with my aunt becky.............no way!?
I think the main reason is that she in not making any utility quilts "only" decorative once (she mentions that in the video) and therefore uses very thin batting.
Did they say something about the batting in the class you took?

Yes, she said it works best with low loft batting. I use Warm and Natural so that would work fine. The quilt I will be hand-finishing is going to be hung - not used.

I am trying to learn to use the Aunt Becky and it will take time and practice, parctice, practice. I put together a small piece and try to do a little every day. I have been hand quilting for almost 30 years, and my hands seem to be in charge and don't like change. I will persist.
You can find the Aunt Becky and Connecting Threads. Good Luck. Pam

I have an aunt becky frame and finger protector I have never used. I have decided I will never be a hand quilter. I am willing to sell it. Let me know if you are interested.
