Hand quilting
Di you hoop or use a large quilting frame
I use a hoop. It's 18 inches, I think. Sometimes, if the quilt is well basted and not real big, I'll just quilt in my lap without a hoop.
I have several size hoops, some wooden and some snap plastic. I also have a floor frame for anything larger than twin size. I don't know if I have ever tried to quilt without some kind of frame. I have used all of them at some time or another. Today I was working on a table runner using a white plastic snap frame.

I use my Q-snap floor frame.
I pin or baste well and quilt in my lap, no frame, no hoop. Takes some practice but not hard to do. :) It is how my grandma taught me to hand quilt.
I have 2--- 14''-16'' hoop.. I've never used anything bigger. But with what doggramma saying, she has a 18" hoop. I may check it out.
I don't use a hoop when I hand quilt. I find them awkward but maybe I just wasn't trying the right hoop.
I use a wooden floor frame - it's 24x36 in my office. I also have a wooden hoop that i take when i travel.

I use a round hoop, about 18".

I was reading in the QB help section about searches and did an advanced search. I'm sorry if this isn't the right place or if it doesn't come out, but I did get a lot of hits.
