Yes, it makes hand sewing go smoother, you don't have to fight the tangles. And it goes through the material so much easier. Just don't coat too heavy, it can stain some material.

wow, i've never had a problem w/ it staining, unless they make it different now.......hmm

Ok just went to Google :wink: It is Thread Heaven a conditioner for thread .

i've never heard of thread heaven, how does it compare to beeswax? is it natural? or what is it made of?

I still use it when I hand-quilt! I think I just got myself into the habit of doing it.

I use bees wax every time I sew anything.I always pull the thread over the wax and especially the end as it goes thru the eye of the needle so much easier. Remember to wet the eye of the needle whether on your sewing machine or hand sewing needle , it seems to just pull the thread thru so much easier. Love that bees wax. :-D
