99% of the time I'm the designated passenger so I always have something to keep me busy but still able to chat. Just got back from a trip but this time flew. Took along 10 min. blocks to work on & it worked out great.

I love sewing while we are driving, it makes the time go so much faster. It takes us 5 - 6 hours to get to my daughters home and I save my binding projects for those trips.

We just returned from a 3500 mile road trip. I completed 5 12 inch blocks all done with hand piecing. It was my first time hand piecing a quilt. What fun! I have 4 more to finish which I hope to do on our next trip in a few months.

I can and do sew, read, crochet, etc while riding along. Even if I'm talking to the driver, I still like to keep my hands busy.

Dramamine is very effective for me, although it can make me very sleepy. I've done some hand needlework in the car and it was fine.

No I can't sew in the car. I have to "help" my husband drive.

Latrinka 07-22-2011 04:28 AM

I make yo-yo's while riding or sometimes cross-stitch.

Yes I do! I have a GFG with 1" hexies that I work on. I have resolved myself to know it will be a multi-year endeavor. ;-)
