Hanging Loop or No Loop on Potholder?

I am making a bunch of potholders to give to friends at work. Just wondering....do you prefer a hanging loop or no loop on a potholder?

Thanks a lot!

I keep mine in a drawer, no need for a loop, I think if you have the type of kitchen that you can display them, the loop would be fine, but once they have been used and washed they aren't so display worthy. I personally don't care, but the loop wouldn't be necessary. In making several, the loop is the hardest to make look nice. So my vote would be no loop.

Personally ... I have never hung a pot holder from a hanger in my life. I keep a few on the counter next to the stove so they are ready/easy to grab. I keep the remainders in a drawer and swap them out for laundry.

I would do it as an option for them. All my oven mitts and potholders have loops but I don't hang anything on my oven doors nor my refrigerator. Not even magnets. Hate when I see dish towels hanging through the refrigerator door or oven door. Tacky to me! Still would give them the option.

Never really gave it a thought. I guess you would have to have a magnetic hook to hang onto your stove.

I dont put loops on my potholder either......they are in the drawer if not being used

I like the hoops because I have a butcher block stand in my kitchen and it has little hooks on it, so when I get my pot holders wet or damp I hand them on the hooks.

I like doing the hanging loops on potholders. I start my binding at a corner and go around the pot holder doing my nice square corners. I leave an extra bit of binding on the last corner so I can sew over the starting raw edge and use the extra binding for the loop. This way I am not bothered by having to do a binding join.

I usually don't do loops. Pot holders camp out in the drawer unless being used~~

In my kitchen, the potholders hang on hooks, so loops would be very helpful!
