I too have bought the blades from Harbor Freight, have had good ones and a couple of bad ones, but again, I agree, at a $1 and tossing it if isn't up to par, is a lot lot better than $5 each, if I hit a pin or something, I will continue to buy both the HF ones and the brand name ones.

That's too bad that you've had such problems. We bought a bunch of packages (12). The very first blade I tried seemed to have a nick in it. I switched to the second blade and found it worked quite well. I've used about 4 other lades and have not had a problem and, in fact, I find they seem to last longer than the tried and true blades that come 5 in a pack. Also, as a side note, I frequently catch my dh using my rotary cutter to cut paper, even though he has his own cutter. I can't really complain too much as he's the one who bought all the blades.

I bought some but havent tried them yet.

I use Harbor Freight blades all the time. I had one that wouldn't cut without skipping so I just changed the blade. Another time it was not cutting good so I just put more pressure on the cutter and it has worked fine since. I found that it was my fault not the blade.

I too have a HF blade in my Martella rotary cutter. It works great. It has been if for several quilts now and is still fine.

I've tried turning the blades over thinking I may have put it on wrong. Anyone else have these problems? Bought them awhile ago and didn't save receipt so I guess I'll have to save my JoAnn's coupons and go invest in the real thing. UGH!

I have had no problem with mine. The first blade I used I had it for 4 months and I am quilting daily for Quilts For Kids. I finally changed it out 2 weeks ago and it cuts like butter.

I haven't had any trouble with the ones I got. They cut perfectly so far.

Yes, I only brought a couple of packages and they cut worse than my old worn out blades.

No problem here with the HF blades, use the Olfa cutter...
