Yes, they are a good place to buy fabric.

Marshall's Dry Goods has a good bit of backing fabrics for very good prices too.

I've bought a lot from them and received great fabrics. Whoever thought that a hole in the middle of fabric was of no concern apparently never quilted.

I have ordered from them many times and usually with good results. When I have had an issue they usually resolved it in my favor. I have also received the bonus extra from the end of the bolt. One time they had sent me an email that one fabric was out of stock and did I want the rest of the order sent or wait for the other fabric to be back in stock. I responded to the email an hour later to cancel the order since it dropped me below the minimum for free shipping and didn't want to be charged shipping, but they had already shipped it. Customer service refunded the shipping, AND sent the other fabric I'd wanted at no charge a few days later.

That said, I have not shopped them lately because of the increased minimum for free shipping, the extra charge for less than 1 yard, and the discontinuance of coupon codes. That, and I have enough fabric for 3 lifetimes.

Right! I had a similar experience at JAF once, got my yardage home, unfolded, large hole, went back, the lady was like "I'll take it back but I don't see why you couldn't just quilt around it." 😆

I have always been very happy with fabric.com. Carry quality fabric at good prices. Didn't realize that there's a surcharge if less than a yard is ordered - but then I rarely order less than a yard - one of the reasons my stash is overflowing. Do remember when they didn't charge tax.

Marshalls Dry Goods has good backings for $8.99 yard. The ones I purchased were fine.

I order from them all the time and have never had a problem. I've just gotta quit doing it! hehehe!

Service as well as quality has always been A-1. I order from them quite a bit.

I order from them all the time , so far no complaints.

Some good fabric, some not so good. As long as you order a known manufacturer name you'll be fine. One yard minimum cut unless you want to pay more per yard. Be aware that they take FOREVER to ship. But, given all that, I've had good experience with Fabric.com and you can get some great buys.

patski 04-05-2017 01:39 PM

I have ordered several times and have been happy with them.

LadyCougar 04-05-2017 02:30 PM

I have to agree with Austinite ever since Amazon took over - they don't ship as fast, and their customer service isn't quite as friendly.

mscoco07 04-05-2017 02:36 PM

I have had no issues so far.

QuiltnLady1 04-05-2017 05:59 PM

I ordered 2 special fabrics from them recently -- they charged the credit card immediately but sent me an email that they were out of one and would refund the credit card. The fabric they had in stock took over two weeks and I am still waiting for the refund (I did call but was rudely told that I would get it when they could get around to it).

I have purchased many times with good results from fabric.com. I buy a lot of fabric on Line from many different sources and have never received any inferior fabric and have always had good service. i especially like equilter.com as well.

I've ordered quite a bit of fabric from them and have been very happy with all off it. Deliveries are always on time. And I found my Cleveland Browns fabric from them when nobody else had it (lifelong suffering Browns fan!). Made my Dad a quilt featuring his favorite teams - Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, Browns and Ohio State using the Ohio Star block. Unfortunately he passed away only a few days after I completed it. It makes me smile when I look at it.

Thank you for all the feedback. I was pleasantly surprised I ordered on Monday after a few had said it was a good experience and I had my order by Friday.
