My friends and I took a "how to use your stash" class where the instructor presented several ideas for using up one's stash. All were very scrappy (which I love) and one of these lovely quilts was quilted with a decorative stitch in the ditch, but had at least one button stitched into each block... Very cute!!

I have been making quilts tied with buttons. My daughter wants her king quilt I'm making tied with buttons. It is black and white. Of course she wants black and white buttons. I put the buttons on with my sewing machine so it doesn't take to long.

When I tie a quilt I use bottons on both sides. I think it holds up better and is really cute.
