I have had mine new work table/station for about a month and LOVE IT! http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t223768.html

One thing to keep in mind is how tall it is - I am only 5.5 feet tall and decided not to go with the bookcases/cubes they sell as they are 36 inches high. The bookcase/cube that I bought from Ikea was only 30 or 31 inches high making it very easy for me to cut and press on. I think the bookcases were only 69.00 and they have smaller ones if you decide you don't have room for ones like I have (2 cubes high x 4 cubes long).

Good luck!

Gale, Have you looked at ana-white.com ? I found this set-up that you might be able to make adjustments to fit your needs. ana-white.com2010/02/plans-bedford-3x3bookcase-inpired-by.html . This is s fun site for people who like to build it themselves.

I love that website!! I've actually made something from there recently-an outdoor wooden planter. I'm just waiting for the rain to stop so I can paint it. I've been looking there for plans I can alter and/or combine to make this and the whole site just amazing. I downloaded Sketchup last night, which is what Ana uses to create her tutorials. I'm hoping it helps me visualize what I want.

I even bought a pocket hole jig and clamps like the ones she uses.

I use was is intended to be a work bench for the garage. It's 6 ft long and 28 inches deep which is perfect for my mats plus it has plenty of storage below for my bolts of fabric. Perfect height for cutting. Love it. We got it at - I think Home Depot for maybe $25-30 fifteen years ago. I checked out their site and couldn't find anything like it. Darn.

Hope you figure out something that works for you.

Jane
