I bought a set at a quilt show 4 years ago. They are wood covered with muslin. They are terrific for pressing seams open. No burned fingers. I wouldn't be without them.

There is a product that is used to keep electrical cords secured safely if you have to run them along a base board. Being plastic makes them easy to cut and I would think they could be used for this purpose. This is one of those products that, at least to me, is a waste of money that could be used to buy fabric. Kind of in the same category as the highly promoted "Bat Scooters." I bought those and they are in the back of a drawer, I fell for the ads. If anyone is interested in them I will send them, free, to the first person who PMs me with their snail mail address. I put the stripstick in the same category as the Bat Scooters.

I use the Bat Scooters a lot. They work great for me. It took practice using them before the Ah Ha now I get it kicked in. I bought another set a few weeks ago, I didn't want to need them in the future and not being able to find them to buy.

I use mine often, I like to press my seams open and this really helps.

If these Stripsticks are useful, how do they aid in the burned finger syndrome ? I am currently working on something
that really needs open seams, and my fingers are suffering ! And what are Bat Scooters, please? |

Here's a link to the Bat Scooters:

I bought one 2 years ago in Paducah-Love it-Great for binding and strip seams-Though it would have been cheaper to make one though

Photo one the cardboard tube thick one , and a towel. Photo two I could fit two blocks on, one nearly pressed one waiting. Photo three showing the seam finished. It did work and the cost ," brain ache" |
