I have turned on the power strip and wondered why the machine wouldn't work and discovered I hadn't plunged it in :P :P

You are so funny. I have never have had that particular problem, but ones very similar. You are not alone.

I hope you have a spectcular day. It is going to be a nice one in Central Oregon.

Last time that happen to me I was pushing down on the wrong foot pedal. Two machines so close together thought I was losing my mind could not for the life of me figure it out. Two hours later....and several glasses of wine....got down of my knees and checked under the cabinet...sure enough...wrong pedal...did I feel DUMB...just goes to show. Always try the simplest thing FIRST!

OOOOHHH>>>>>stop it....I can not laugh that hard with tea in my mouth.....

this is like my sons recent "life lesson".
Friday was his birthday..he got up all stoked, had his orientation for a new job that afternoon, was giving blood that morning...goes to his car and nothing...says it is getting amps, etc, but nothing..

we spent all day running from place to place to get HIS things done and mine...Sat. he planned to spend the day with his brother...but had to work on car first...they tried everything...NO reason for car not to start...went online to research the starter...find out...

are you sitting down..no food/drink in mouth..

his car has a "kill" function...if it is NOT in Park completely it thinks it is in neutral and will not start....

guess what..his car was NOT in park completely...car started up just fine...heheheheh

Winkee 07-31-2011 07:33 AM

Haha

aronel 07-31-2011 07:40 AM

LOL!! I feel your pain. Been there done that, many times.

Joanie2 07-31-2011 08:05 AM

I have to laugh because that is exactly what happened to me yesterday. I had one of those multi plug extensions and kept plugging in one outlet after another and nothing. The frustrating part was that my friends were here sewing. It happened more than once. The first time I think was the extension thing. I think it must have one main plug-in that must be used before the other ones because my machine was not turning on. But the second time it happened I got even more frustrated until I saw the other end of my plug was not plugged into my machine. We all enjoyed a good laugh! I'm so glad I'm not the only one this has happened to. Wouldn't want to feel left out!

Minnisewta 07-31-2011 08:17 AM

Been there done that and more.

BECOOLWRAPS 07-31-2011 08:20 AM

janiesews 07-31-2011 08:50 AM

Hahahahaha!
I love it!
And you never tried to iron with the sewing machine??
Hahahaha!
I plug in both an extension and that the main line!
Only sometimes ... I plugged in the sewing machine not the iron! And I waited .... the iron is not turned on the light!
Hahahaha!
Have a beautiful day, a big smile and a hug!

drgranny 07-31-2011 08:57 AM

I used to work on a computer telephone help line and the first thing we always ask the person needing help was, "Is your computer plugged in?" Is it turned on?

vivoaks 07-31-2011 09:13 AM

Oooohh! Don't you just HATE it when you do something like that?!!

Rosie the "Ripper" 07-31-2011 09:24 AM

The good thing is that after we forget something, then remember what it was and correct it and feel dumb for forgetting it, we forget we even forgot it in the first place! On to feeling GOOD again!!!

Annaquilts 07-31-2011 09:24 AM

twixbar 07-31-2011 10:46 AM

Glad it wasn't your machine.

BarbaraSue 07-31-2011 11:06 AM

Not that specifically, but our family has a history of leaving the power cords at home, but having the machine and the foot pedal. I hate it that they are two separate cords now.
So, join in the crowd. Between us we should have 1 machine that works!:)
