Thanks everyone who commented on the bag. Funny story to that. I went to a LQS looking for fabrics for a wall hanging. I had a Joanns bag filled with the scraps I was going to use and the pattern. When I walked in, their dog (a Dalmatian) would not stop being nosey and kept smelling my bag. Somehow he got his head in the handle and then was spooked and ran off ripping my bag. The owner gave me that adorable bag as a replacement for the one her doggie broke. She said Casey (the dog) insisted I choose a bag for replacement of the one he broke.

Your so smart:)

Great idea and a good way to eliminate wrinkles on freshly ironed fabric, especially if you iron a lot of fabric at a time like I do. I wash my fabric, then when I have a day that needs some "down" time, I iron fabric, not clothes, just fabric.

You've probably seen the hangers for multiple pairs of pants. These are great for hanging your freshly-ironed fabrics. Slipping a cardboard tube from wrapping paper, paper towels, etc. or section of PVC pipe over each hanging rod helps to avoid a hanger crease

I finally remembered that I have a wooden drying rack, the folding kind. I've been hanging my ironed fabric on that now. I can hang quite a few pieces before any overlapping, but even that works. Also, helps to finish drying any pieces that are still a little damp from starching, and they dry nice and straight.

Great idea. I love reading this board because everyone is so creative!
|
Great idea. I made a large wooden top for my ironing board and just love it. Now I will do the fabric hanger. Thanks

What an awesome idea! Wish I'd kept one of those Christmas paper rolls now. :(
|
Thanks for a wonderful idea. It has always bothered me that I spend the time ironing fabric, then fold it and push it into the stash. This is way better.

Great idea!

Thats a great idea

Love it, thanks so much for sharing you brilliant idea with us,i am definately going to use this hint.

What a great idea. Now I just have to wait until I get a wrapping paper tube empty. :-) I would think one could tape several paper towel roll ones together and that would work, too.
|
now that is true recycling...way to go...have to share that idea if you don't mind!
|
great idea! I will be looking for a mailing tube or something. As for the larger ironing board, my DH fixed one for me a couple of years ago. We used an old ironing board (from resale shop) and he bolted the new top to the old board. I covered it with some cotton quilt batting and some of the silver looking stuff to resist heat and stapled it all down on the underside and "I love it".

Thanks for sharing this great idea.
