I'm glad I'm not the only one! I enjoy checking in in the mornings and come back again later. I have found so much useful information and just plain fun here!

jolo 11-17-2010 06:24 AM

me too. I am even behind with the DJ project. I spend mornings and evenings here on the board. JO

sandpat 11-17-2010 06:24 AM

Well, just keep going girl....we are all in that boat with you! LOL!

Old Owl Gray 11-17-2010 07:02 AM

Now that you have diagnosed the problem I can begin the cure. Maybe checking in every other or third day.

lillybeck 11-17-2010 07:02 AM

I had this same problem but, now I look at the posts when the new ones come out and keep up with updates on occasion with the ones I am really interestested in. I too have so many things to do that are not even started that it is not funny anymore. I am retired why can't I get everything done. I got more done when the kids were home and I had a full time job. I think I work better under pressure.lol

stitchofclass2 11-17-2010 07:07 AM

Love this! You "crack me up" and I can ALWAYS use a good laugh! Not to mention how "true it is!".

Bobbielinks 11-17-2010 07:09 AM

You said it!! I have to limit myself to 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening so I miss a lot of what's be said. And I have thought about a laptop - my computer is now 2 floors above my quilting room- but then I would never get any quilting done, and quilting is my passion (I think).

Marysewfun 11-17-2010 07:25 AM

Pat, you hit the nail on the head! First thing I do is grab a "mug" of coffee, head off to my laptop (sewing room) where it is quiet and dive into the forums - and sometimes am amazed two hours later that I have discovered many more sites that I never knew about before (and must get involved in) - and I have in reality only read three or four original email postings of my inbox! But what fun!!
Mary

psychonurse 11-17-2010 07:44 AM

Marysewfun
That is the exact order I do each day I am off. Great minds think alike!

judykay 11-17-2010 08:22 AM

I think this topic sure says something about this site and the people who read it and the person or persons who are in charge of keeping everything in working order.

It's a FANTASTIC site & I also am one who is on several times a day just in case there is a new post that I just have to read or a new pattern or gadget I have to check out and maybe add to my Christmas list.

Happy Thanksgiving to all

catrancher 11-17-2010 11:11 AM

I can't read all of them, and as much as I enjoy what I read, I just don't want to spend that much time on the computer. I generally only read the digest that comes out, but usually I look at all the pictures.

Rettie V. Grama 11-17-2010 01:24 PM

I have found the best way I can think of to remember who gets what and what do I get. When a person wants to trade, et-ce-tra I copy, the message and place it in an HP folder names according to the project. If I forget: Just go to it: It's still there.

baglady65 11-17-2010 03:39 PM

I find getting this message board once a day is enough for me to keep up!!

laurac 11-17-2010 04:10 PM

i hear you! i always find many replies already and anything i had to say has been said. that's okay, i learn a lot and enjoy how eager everyone is to share.

Dkm 11-17-2010 04:20 PM

Thanks for saying all that.....that leaves me more time to surf everything. My problem is I want it all and then come back and can't find where to go to get it...o well, there's always something new...everyone keep posting.....

Whats wrong with your dog?

Pommom 11-17-2010 07:08 PM

I am a newbie and I am definitely addicted! Not sure what's better.....learning about quilting or "listening" to the friendly chatter on the board!!

SZQ 11-17-2010 08:42 PM

What a tease u r. Sounds like fun, where do we find her?

fishnlady 11-17-2010 11:41 PM

Ok quilters, I think I am on to something here. I am so addicted to this site that I am thinking about starting Quilting Boardaholics and charge a small fee for signing up. There are so many of us who have this problem that a person could get rich on our addiction. Just joking but you see the point. My husband says I spend more time on this site than actual sewing or quilting. Pitiful, pitiful indeed. I think someone should even start a prayer group for those of us who are addicted. I don't see any relief in sight as of this moment without some kind of deliverance. LOL

froggy 11-18-2010 12:11 AM

oh how funny and how alike some of us are!!! you nailed it so well. I refuse to call that pile OFOs!!! those my dears are WIPs well that is what I tell myself.LOL

mrspete 11-18-2010 12:26 AM

Guilty here!

ktmo815 11-18-2010 04:58 AM

Unfortunately I have to go to work during the day & they frown upon spending so much time on here - I have to pretty much limit it to weekends (don't tell anyone I'm on here now, please!!) :-D

Yes, me too and I am not quite a speed reader or a

plainpat,,,,,,im in the same boat as you !!! LOL....

pinot 11-18-2010 07:25 AM

Did anyone mentioned the time difference between the USA and Europe?? About 8 or 9 hours... When I'm sleeping you all have these posts and bargains and sales ....

damaquilts 11-18-2010 08:25 AM

Try trying to keep up with only being able to get to a computer once a week. LOL Well moving day is Saturday and within a week or so I should have a computer all of my own.

That's why we get laptop computers, isn't it? Well, besides using them for our embroidery machines and to keep up on all the stuff we need to buy and this site, of course.

annette1952 11-19-2010 01:41 AM

LOL All that I can say is Welcome to the world of quilting! I feel the exact same way! Always alot to do & think about but don't take the fun out of it for you.

yesyoucan 11-20-2010 04:41 PM

I think someone should invent a thing where we can hear all the threads and be able to talk and leave a message to coment.

2livesdown7togo 11-20-2010 05:03 PM

I never knew what ADHD was until I came here. Any minute now I'll stop looking at threads n links n patterns n photos and get some work done.

It's why I try to keep it limited to weekends. See you all next weekend LOL.

plainpat 11-21-2010 01:42 AM

Wishing you luck :-) Thanks all...I've had a great time reading all your responses. That tells me there's a whole lot of ppl reading every post....busted!

I am in your boat about the amount I have to read through. This is for the 17th November, but it is really 3rd December. Have too much to do too.
