Here it is,barely 5am & most threads are full overnight.Of course,I have to see what I'm missing,so need to read them.
Someone mentioned a pattern that looks good. Where to find it & I'm off to the races.Another thread has a new way of making a table runner, someone mentions a very easy way of doing binding. There's a fabric sale going on? & so it goes & goes.
Someone wants breakfast ? point to the cereal.I'm busy! Pages to bookmark, sites to find, blogs to read.
A quilt needs cut out, sewn, quilted? Later.....right now I'm trying to keep track of all the new quilt pics, patterns, books & notions I need. Besides, almost surely I'll find another quilt I like better, so why waste fabric. Don't I already have too many UFOs ? That's just a detail.Excuse me, someone just posted about a new gadget that sounds like something I need. Where's that thread ? Excuse me,I need to get busy...........

lindyline 11-16-2010 02:04 AM

Wow, you sound just like me.
Today I received spiral tablerunner pattern, ruler and another pattern book from1 seller,
another patter, templates and ruler from another seller,
and yet another quilt pattern
Note to self, STOP buying these things, and start making them up.

AnneT 11-16-2010 02:04 AM

Pat, this is just hilarious :). I'd better leave my PC and move my bacon to my sewing table to finfish XMas gifts.

Sadiemae 11-16-2010 03:22 AM

I can reach the sewing machine and the computer at the same time... Do you think I am addicted to both???

Mary O 11-16-2010 03:28 AM

FUNNY! Thats's me too.......Oh well life is too short.......

Nancy S. 11-16-2010 04:15 AM

How funny. I'm ready to ask for a lap top so I can be in the same room that I need to be in. I have limited myself so I do manage to get something done.

Jo M 11-16-2010 04:46 AM

Well, I'm with the rest of you...I'm checking way too many times thoughout the day. Afraid I'm going to miss something. :o) I guess I'll have to take Nancy S's advice and start limiting myself. I won't cut my time too drastic, but I need to get some stuff done.

magpie 11-16-2010 05:19 AM

 Same here, just can't stay away. Off work for awile, so have lots more time. I did sort fabric yesterday and today will sort various kits I have to do some weeding.

quiltmaker 11-16-2010 05:27 AM

Good Grief YES......keeping up is impossible if I want to get anything else done in my life...and my life is very full so I wonder how so many people manage to post so much and if they are just super fast readers/typers? I enjoy reading through entire posts (and that's a challenge in itself). Guess it's just one of those what's most important things to each of us.

leahbug 11-16-2010 05:30 AM

Me too, I have to keep checking to make sure I haven't missed something I sure need to know..LOL I have to set a time limit for myself. I have to sew today.

quiltinghere 11-16-2010 05:31 AM

Oh that is a good chuckle! Sounds like me - My hubby doesn't even ask what I'm looking at anymore - He sees the YELLOW BACKGROUND and knows it's quilt related! LOL

grann of 6 11-16-2010 05:35 AM

So true, so true!!! Now that I am going to have an invalid dog, I have put his bed in my computer room. I'll be on here a lot, but not getting any sewing done since the sewing room is in the basement. And since I won't be spending any money for a while, I will just be drooling at all the great projects and ideas.

Pzazz 11-16-2010 05:37 AM

I think you just described about 99.9% of the people on here!!!!

DebbyT 11-16-2010 05:52 AM

Reality hits me hard. Ouch!

KathyAire 11-16-2010 06:03 AM

There is a Christian lady that does a video about taking care of a household. The million things that need to be done. It is hilarious. Don't remember her name. Your post sounds so much like her except it's about quilting. So funny.

psychonurse 11-16-2010 06:20 AM

this is me also. Hubby just came in and yes I am on the computer again. Why am I not sewing? Have to see what I have missed since yesterday.LOL
Glad the laptop is in my sewing room, I can reach both at once.

sewTinker 11-16-2010 06:31 AM

netbooks are cheaper and just as time-consuming!

  Me too!
I keep my little red Netbook on my sewing table.
Usually with the XM radio playing the 70's music from it, but can also keep up with this board at the same time. Multi-tasking!!

One more addiction................ haha

Melinda in Tulsa 11-16-2010 08:26 AM

  My DH calls me a cyber quilter, since I have a hard time getting off this #$#$ board long enough to do any sewing! If it wasn't for my sewing day once a week with Lynnejean, I doubt I would get any sewing done at all! You should see my W'sIP and *to do* sewing list.

bj 11-16-2010 08:45 AM

It's nice to know I'm in such good company here.

GrannieAnnie 11-16-2010 08:48 AM

I need to get ready for a meeting tonight. Got paperwork to do! drat!

maryel 11-16-2010 11:38 AM

I find myself reading way too much just like the rest of you but I love it and don't want to miss out on anything. I guess I {joined the club!}

well, in the Mountains of Montana where I live, there is snow falling & the skies are dark. great time for staying home in the sewing room. a laptop there would be perfect !

No you don't, I have a lap top and thought I'd move it to the room I sew. I already have it in the room I cut in, and I'm on here everytime I walk into this room.

With the FABSHOPHOP,,, I have NOT touched material in two days, and I'm getting the shakes. There just isn't enough time in a day is there. Tomorrow I have to do laundry.....and tomorrow I'll sew........

SueKitten1 11-16-2010 05:25 PM

You said it perfectly!

Mousie 11-16-2010 05:27 PM

gf, you talk so much like me, a friend sent me this link and laughingly asked me if I wrote this! ;)
I can see why she asked...it's the way you express yourself,...na na na na na...
and it just plains sounds like me too...wanna see and do it all...but who can do that?...
uh, oh, 'scuse me I just heard about something interesting....by :XD:

wanderingcreek 11-16-2010 08:00 PM

I too have a laptop but it ison a desk at the bottom of the stairs so everytime I have to go upstairs I have to stop and see what I have missed on here. Then I wind up staying way to long and am not getting my Xmas projects done. I think I may need help but do I want it? No. I am enjoying this site way too much.

olgaflowers 11-17-2010 03:37 AM

I find myself thinking,I really need to get back
and sandwich that quilt ! but don't want to miss anything :)

ka9sdn 11-17-2010 04:24 AM

Sounds like we are all in the same boat.

#1piecemaker 11-17-2010 04:26 AM

I have to force myself to stay off here at times so I can get something done myself. I could look at yalls quilts all day long. And of course I've had to buy a few things....My DH usually reminds me when I've stayed here too long. But, I enjoy it soooooo.. I've met some awful nice people here. I'm afraid I'll miss something.

gollytwo 11-17-2010 04:31 AM

I was like this when I was new to the Board - really worried me as I was getting little else done.
Another Board member who's in my Guild assured me that it would wear off.
She was right, thankfully
I now sign on in the morning for about an hour and maybe briefly in the evening before shutting the computer down.
Getting other work done as a result.

applique 11-17-2010 04:55 AM

Guess like everything else in life....moderation. Maybe, but not today!!

Connie Merritt 11-17-2010 04:58 AM

How can one stay away from such conversations each day. When I wake, after the coffee is done and the computer is turned on, I hunt for this update. Once found, I do not leave it until All of you have conversed with me and vice versa. Thanks for the time away from the world and the time to be with friends.

Patti, I agree with you. Could not have said it better and straight to the point.

fireworkslover 11-17-2010 05:37 AM

Me too, me too! I really think, I'll have to set a timer or something, to limit how much time I spend on here reading this and that. I too have many projects in the works and should finish some things up.
