Ive made a jean quilt with flannel shirts alternating blocks. Love it nice an warm. The polos as state by someone else would need a backing. but I think it would be a nice quilt!

Did you use any kind of batting in your denim rag quilt? How did you do the back of it?

Different folks do it different ways. I put a square of denim with a square of flannel, took another square of denim with a square of flannel, put flannel sides together and sewed one side of all four pieces. On and on until the monster is done. One side is all flannel, and that's the side we curl up under. The other side is all denim, with frayed seams. No batting.

I have used old jeans and flannel for a rag with a flece back then tied the quilt. This is our comfort quilt.
