God bless him and his family. Please tell him how much we appreciate all that he does for us. I wish him well and I'm so happy that he is here for the birth.

I am a grandma (Nana). I made a zebra print Quilt/Blanket for my grandaughter Emma.

I did a Black & White Zebra faux fur with embroidery on the lower corners of each side with the baby's name and a hot pink and turquise castle on it and the word Princess. The other side was white/black polkla dot flannel so I embroideried a Ballerina and Emma's name on it. Turned out great.

A room decorated in the Black and White Damask fabric along with the crib decor would be awesome with this! I would also add a few crowns and hot pink boa's to the room. Beautiful Decor for a girl! This is something hot right now. I love it and so did my daughter-in-law! Cool! 8-)

I have made several quilts for young people this year,I just finished one for 2 year old and he loves big equipment, things from Movie Cars, tractors, etc,now the preteen girls wanted Fairies. I just was talking to a friend yesterday and I stated I didn't know why people were making quilts for young like Log Cabin etc. Too me that is "too oldish" for them.
The quilt I sent off I told the gr-grandaughter to also use it as a learning quilt or I Spy.it has lots colors for him to learn and things to find. Sorry this is long

Noah's Ark is still in for boys. I had a student call me the other day - she wants to make a quilt for a great-great-grandson and the Mom said his colors are (ready for this?) apple green and chocolate brown! Now, what baby would choose those colors? Can't think of any quilt pattern I'd do in those colors, unless I could add about 5 more!

I'm not yet a grandma, and i don't get to make too many baby quilts. :-(
But i just did one that I really thought came out cute for a boy.
Details here:

I thought the fabric was really cute. the main print in the blocks said "little boats should stay near shore". Sweet!

Just finished this one for my niece. Working on another for my nephew. It is paper pieced with sail boats. I put a flannel sheet in the middle and then machine quilted it on a reg machine.
