There are two layers of fabric with batting in between. You should use all cotton fabrics, thread and batting - anything synthetic could melt or catch fire.
Of course, if the cotton gets hot enough it will also burn. They make the most beautiful baked sweet potatoes I've ever eaten! |

The same bag is used for both potatos and corn on the cob...I checked my pattern and you cut 2 pieces of cotton fabric 9 1/2" X 25 1/2"...batting the same size...Stitch most of the way around, leaving a 3" area to turn. Fold down about 2", fold up the other end to meet and stitch the 2 sides...I know...clear as mud. Sorry that's the best I can do today...will look to see if I can find one that is made...Think they are all gone.
