Those quilts are beautiful. Someone put a lot of time and effort into them. Thank you for taking care of them.
Welcome from Michigan.

Welcome Chris from E PA. This is what happens to quilts. They get passed along to the next keeper. It is your turn to enjoy them and share them or sell them if you want. I think you have been gifted a wonderful collection and have no need for feeling bad about having them.

I do hope you can post pictures of them.

I would suggest taking a few of the ones you don't want to an antique or second hand shop. They will put them on consignment for you and you can maybe make a little money from them.

You can also look up an estate appraiser. They will help you figure out their worth.

If there are any that are appealing to you, keep and enjoy them. Thank the person who passed them on.
peace

Don't get too high hopes about the money value or historical value. They may be just bed quilt used to keep warm. The army blankets are not necessarily a criteria for their sentemental worth either. Best to have someone look at them who is knowledge about quilts and not just a quilter. A quilt appraiser would be the best person to consult although he/she would most likely charge. I may be in Raleigh later on this year at the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo and would be glad to look at them for you if you don't fine anyone in the meantime. Army blankets for batting make me think they may be late 1940's but fabric would be the identifyer.
