Or, cut the stripe on the bias and add a little red piping. Striped bias is always so interesting. Let us see what you decide and please allow us to see the rest of the quilt.

I pulled up your photo and thought "WHOOEE - I like that!" I am also finishing a red/black/white quilt and I think your striped border is a dramatic finishing touch, especially with the cornerstones you have. Go for it!

i happen to like stripes and you went to a lot of trouble to miter those and match. just do a red binding.

I would put a 2inch red border on first & then add the strip & then bind it in red also. I think it would frame the quilt much better. It will be beautiful no matter what you decide.

I like the border, but for me it is thrown off by the corner setting square. I think one without lines would work better like the red with dots or tear drops on it.
