DP9 patch does the striped outer border look ok
or should I just use a red |
I am thinking you do not need another border. Just bind in red.
ditto
are you wanting to add a border to increase the size of the quilt? if so maybe use the stripe with a smaller solid border on the outside of it to stop the design and frame the quilt- red or black would work- or use like a 1" red-4"stripe-1"red===something along those lines- depending on how much you need to add to bring your quilt up to the size you want it to be.
I like the striped border.
To me the stripes take away from the quilt. Prefer the red binding.

I love the stripe too!
Can't see too much of the quilt but I love stripes for borders-I think it looks great.
Keep the stripe
I like your striped fabric, but not with that quilt. I think it takes your eye away from all the other beautiful fabrics. It seems that the border should kind of frame the quilt and draw it all together. Pretty quilt--I love red and black.

I like the striped fabric for the border and then use a black binding. It will be gorgeous.
looks nice as is.
Personally I don't care for the stripe border... it seems to take away from that beautiful quilt.
I did a quilt recently with a striped border, but added a small solid inner border first. It turned out a lot better, the quilt top looked more framed with the solid inner border first. can't wait to see a finished quilt (or top!)

me I am liking the strip...
really like that strip.... |
Love the stripe... but for that quilt, I'd put on a plain colored border. Either red or black. I like your idea of a red one! I bet that would be beautiful and not take away from the quilt itself.
my vote is for stripe, i like the stripe
i really like the striped border

Love the stripes, and yes, bind in red.

I would go with a plain red border - the stripes IMHO don't go well.
I think the stripe looks great and I would put a black binding on it to finish it.

I like the border!
I would use a 1" small solid dark border, then the stripe.
I like the strip border and then it cut on the bias for your binding, but the stripes don't match. Would they match if you swapped ends with the strip?
Love the stripes but with a solid black or red binding.
I really like the striped border, looks great!
I love it with the stripe. Just perfect.
I don't think you need a border either, is so pretty the way nit is.
It would be nice to see the quilt laying flat. Right now I do not like the striped border. The quilt fabric I see is beautiful and I would lay various colors of red/black next to it. Maybe after a solid color the stripe would be okay.
