Another no border vote.

Does it need to be bigger? You could do a border in the stripe fabric that is on the full diagonal, use a yellow solid that matches the yellow strip in the top (cause I love yellow) or do a piano key border using all the stripes to add to the movement. Great top by the way!

What a great quilt! Obviously it is personal preference. I know that I prefer borders, maybe you do too! I offer no help for a border selection though, other than to suggest auditioning different fabrics. That is the only way I can decide. I just wanted to tell you that I like your quilt!

Why not "audition" different colors for a border, just to see if that suits your fancy.
I personally like borders as they give your eye a place to rest.

I would just add binding that has strips and cut on the bias!

I think no border needed. how big do you want the quilt tto be? if you need a bigger quilt and have more fabric then you just need to add more blocks. the binding will frame the quilt and almost look like a border. I think a yellow binding but use what ever color you have or what color you want the quilt to be.

I agree that it really doesn't need a border, unless it needs to be bigger or you really want to put one on. I would go with a solid, at least for a first border, then if you want to do a piano key or stripe on the diagonal, it wouldn't run into the blocks. Finish with a third border in a solid to "frame" the piano keys, then maybe do the binding as a stripe on the diagonal or a pieced binding using various lengths of the fabric you used for the blocks. I am a big fan of pieced bindings.

Whatever you do, it's a lovely quilt. Oh, my choice, if it's for a girl, would be a solid lavender/purple.

No border gets my vote. I don't think a solid border does anything for a quilt but make it bigger. I use wide binding when I think the quilt needs a frame.

a solid cream or crème should look great.

IF you need to make this bigger, I guess I'm different from all other suggestions. I would go with that dark color in the pink striped for the border. I would like to make that beautiful center POP - not blend.
