Help with borders

1 Attachment(s)
I recently purchased a kit for a turkey twister. I decided I wanted to do different borders then what the kit had. Now I'm not sure I made the right choice in changing the borders. I sewed the inner border I chose on and the two side outer borders on and I think the outer border may be too busy so I stopped sewing. Can you please give me your advice?

I love it! Great choice of fabric. I also really like the pattern. I haven't seen that one before.

Wonderful job!

I love that outside fabric, but I think you are right. It overpowers the turkey, which is a cute piece on it's own.

Cute pattern I agree it does over power the turkey.

Any suggestions on which color borders I should use? I bought the kit and then realized I didn't want mine to look like everyone else's. I know I should've thought of that before I bought the kit. I'm sure I'll use the border fabric the kit had on another project.

I like the fabric but also like darker outer boarders. I would suggest a simple print or tone on tone darker brown, just like a picture frame.

I haven't seen this pattern but it is really cute.

soooo cute! i think the outer border is fine... the green border stops the center pattern... and the leaves are not so large to draw attention from the turkey

I held a brown batik up to my computer screen and I agree with quilt addict. It does look framed. Cute turkey.

AWWWWWW COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I myself would put that border all the way around, I think it makes the turkey pop.............. love it.

If it was me I would leave that border fabric. Your turkey is made with tone on tone fabric and has a plain smaller green border between it and the floral fabric. The floral picks up each colour in the turkey and compliments it.

Very cute. Well done.
