I already sent it out for a present.

My sewing machine comes with a little doodad that raises the presser foot up in front of a thick seam like denim seams. It's just a set of three shims of plastic that you put under the foot in advance of the seam and then after the seam to ease the foot through the bump. It's meant to prevent broken needles. WOOHOO!! All ten blankets was a success. All the grands just loved them.
Now to learn to quilt something that will challenge me. :D

I went out and bought a pair of those rag quilt scissors. Great investment. They have them at Michaels for around $20 and i had a 50% off coupon. I want to try a denim rag quilt next. Can't wait to see yours
