I think its because I took the picture on my IPAd so somehow it recognizes the picture orientation. I think you all are probably seeing it with the incorrect orientation. So so sorry for the confusion.

I have a wall hanging hanging up with command picture strips, the kind one sticks to the wall and the other to your picture x
|
Yes, the command strips are wonderful and so easy to do!!

How about clear push pins.

3M makes those removable wall hangers.. but they also make removable velco hangers....They work really well for hanging cloth items - and much for friendly to your walls and the item than the plain sticky backed velcro.

Just watched a recorded episode of Fons & Porter tonight. In their Tips segment, someone suggested basting triangles of plastic needlepoint mesh behind the corners of a wall hanging that would be hung on point.
Another option for you to consider. |
Instead of dowel could you put the flatter bone stripes used in gardening, and sewing? Saw similiar on sewing bee last week UK used to hold a peacock tail up.
could be used for corsets I imagine. then a small metal circle from picture framing on the top point. |
I hung an equilateral triangle quilt with one point on top by putting a hanger in the top point and a dowel in the bottom of the quilt parallel to the floor. If this isn't the orientation of your quilt, this may not work for you.

Thanks everyone. I have a lot of options to think about. I will go ahead with the quilt as it seems I will be able to hang it.

One quilter in my quilt guild made odd shaped quilts, she solved the problem of hanging the quilt by making a large sleeve in the shape of the quilt, backed with foam core and it worked for her, hope this helps.
