I would put a leaf design around the owl in dark threads , hand quilt on the inside of body pieces, stipling in the other parts.
Is anyone coming to the Piegon Forge Quilt show next, I hope be there on Thursday Whipperwill |

you could try free arm meandering on all the white and on all the sashing use a larger leaf and flower accent. keep the appliques free of quilting and the designs will pop.

Countrygirl: I love your owls. As my friend would say -they're stinking cute!! as for the quilting, i agree with not quilting in the owls. quilt around them to make them pop!
richbrote-love the lighthouse quilt. |
I cant help you on the quilting but I just love your quilt. Penny

Really? Would you send me your "owl" pattern? It is lovely and I know someone (besides myself) who will love it. Heaps of thanks.

That is sooooo cute. I also would love to have your pattern, my MIL has always collected owls and now that she is in a nursing home no room for her collections, but there is always room for a quilt
